The MENA Hematology League was announced on January 21st, 2019, and is licensed as a non-profit organization in the United Kingdom (England and Wales), with registration number 11777391, and is based in London (Unit 3, Office A, 1st Floor, 6-7 St Mary at Hill, London, England EC3R 8EE). [ https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/11777857 ]. The League was founded by Prof. Ahmad Tarawah. To date, 21 Middle East countries have been represented in the league. The MENA Hematology League is managed by a board of directors representing MENA countries. The league has eight offices distributed in the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and the United Arab Emirates. More than 35,000 members are registered. Three congresses and more than ten forums have been conducted in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Algeria, Yemen and Qatar. More than 500 research studies have been presented at MENA congresses and published in medical journals.

Achievements
The MENA Hematology League conducted its first congress on 1-4 February 2019 at AlMadinah, Saudi Arabia, under the patronage and opening by his royal highness Prince Faisal bin Salman, governor of AlMadinah. There were 1200 attendees, more than 90 speakers, and 300 abstracts.
Madinah-Cairo hematology forum, 25-28 March 2020, attended by 500 attendees. The MENA Hematology Congress 2020 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, has been suspended due to COVID-19 restrictions
MENA Hematology Congress 2021 in Mukalla, Yemen. May 28th to June 1st, under the patronage and opening speech by his excellency Mr. Qasem Bohibeh, Minister of Health, Yemen. A 360o virtual. There were 16,287 attendees, representing 58 countries, with more than 64 speakers.

MENA Hematology Congress 2023 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, October 26th - 28, under the patronage and opening speech by His Excellency Mohammad AlAbdulal, Minister of Health Assistant, Saudi Arabia. There were 1347 attendees, representing 32 countries, with more than 140 speakers and 109 abstracts.
