Dr. Sarah Sewaralthahab 🇸🇦

Dr. Sarah Sewaralthahab is an American board-certified hematologist and medical oncologist with a Master’s in Public Health. She is an Assistant Professor at King Saud University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and serves as the head of the adult hematology unit of its Oncology Center at the Medical City. Additionally, she leads the Morbidity and Mortality Review Unit at King Saud University Medical City (KSUMC). Dr. Sewaralthahab’s hematology practice focuses on benign disorders, with particular interests in healthcare disparities in hemoglobinopathies, the clinical optimization of thrombotic and hemostatic disorders, and obstetric hematology with research publications across these fields. Her work also extends to quality improvement, with a focus on patient safety, risk mitigation, and optimizing clinical throughput. She is an active member of several professional associations, including the American Society of Hematology (ASH), the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH), and the European Hematology Association (EHA).
